Why I couldn’t agree more with Jill Scott - Hair is an accoutrement. Hair is jewelry. It's an accessory.
It took a while for me to fully appreciate hairstyling as a style and fashion accessory. Growing up I looked forward to wearing a long relaxed hair. When the opportunity finally arrived, I invested in all sorts of products and services from different salons just to maintain my hair, which I wore with pride.
On March 19, 2015, I decided to style my hair to compliment my oblong face shape just as I do with other accessories in my closet. Leticia, my hairstylist, did not like the idea but she did it all the same. The change was overwhelming but little did I know, that was the beginning of my hairstyle/style personality evolution. Between March and December, 2015 my hair length changed almost every other week. I experimented with length, layers and colours.
The effects my new hairstyles had on my personality and wardrobe during that time was liberating, I simply loved it. My Classic Chic (a blend of 'Elegant' and 'Classic'.) style personality, a look I had owned died when this adventure started. I embraced a new look, Elegant Ease; this Personal Style is a meld of 'Elegant' and 'Natural'. This look is informal, unpretentious, outdoorsy, and natural. I finally have a relaxed, approachable, natural and active psychological impression I have always wish to own. I feel Comfortable and graceful.
We follow all kinds of fashion trends and spend mega bucks in the process. Allow me to remind you that your best style or fashion accessories are in fact part of your being. That includes complimenting your body shape and personality with accessories that only show off your best. And that starts from the top of the head; your hair.
Prior to your next salon appointment, contact OpulenceConsult to analyze and identify your face shape, personal colouring and the type of hair (thickness and texture) as well as your personality and lifestyle because when choosing a hair style, one must choose that which will compliment the skin tone and personality, regardless of trends.
Accessories like necklace and frangrance are simply an extension of the personality and personal style. They all must express something.
